VIC: Thieves steal suits worth $40,000 from Melbourne store

MELBOURNE, Dec 19 AAP - Thieves stole up to $40,000 worth of clothing, including top-name
suits, from a men's store in inner Melbourne overnight.

Police are appealing for public help to track thieves who took 70 suits, some made by
Armani and Flair, from Acumen Gentlemen's Outfitters in the Fawkner Towers building in St
Kilda Road.

A spokesman said the suits and casual shirts and ties were taken some time between 11pm and
6am today, when the theft was discovered.

The thieves forced their way inside through the front window of the ground-floor store.

Police said they wanted to talk to anybody who noticed any activity around the area
overnight or who came across suits offered for sale in unusual circumstances.

They have been asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800-333-000.
