Vic: Bus driver killed in collision

MELBOURNE, April 9 AAP - A bus driver was killed in a collision with a semi-trailer
in the Goulburn Valley in Victoria's north this afternoon.

He was the only person in the mini-bus when it and the transport collided head-on about
1.40pm on the Tatura-Murchison Road in Dhurringile (Dhurringile), near Tatura.

Police said the vehicles erupted in flames after impact. the road was closed for several
hours between Baulsch (Baulsch) and Punt roads.

The male driver of the seafood-laden semi-trailer was taken to the Goulburn Valley
Base Hospital with minor injuries. The other man died at the scene.

The death brings Victoria's road toll to 118 for the year, five more than the same
time last year.
